Langley has been awarded 4 stars from the AA and VisitEngland with a Gold Award

The Restaurant has achieved a 2 Rosette status from the AA since 2009

The Castle also was awarded the title of "Best Small Hotel of the Year" for the whole of the North East of England in 2002 - 2004 - 2006 - 2010 – 2014 - 2018. We were awarded 'Best Hotel for Romance' in the UK in 2018.

Langley Castle Hotel was awarded the Silver award for 'Small Hotel of the Year' 2022 and a Bronze award for 'Resiliance and Renovation' when coming out of lockdown 2022.

We have recently been awarded the Gold award for 'Resilience and Renovation' 2023 and 'Highly Commended Hotel' for 2023.

Set in its own ten acre woodland estate, the Castle's 7 foot thick walls provide a peaceful and tranquil refuge in which to escape from today's hustle and bustle to a bygone age. This combines to make Langley perfect for Castle Weddings or for a special Castle getaway break

The Castle has 9 rooms within the main Castle itself some of which have 4 poster beds and window seats set into 7ft thick walls - and some boast private "features" such as a sauna, spa bath, fire place.

Within the grounds there are a further 19 rooms at CastleView - all of which offer fabulous views up to the main Castle itself which is about 80m - some of these rooms are mini suites with a seating area with sofa bed - so perfect for small families

The Restaurant offers fine dining and also private dining in the Pavilion for upto 28 guests. The Stuart Suite has banquet facilities for up to 120 guests.

ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING

At Langley Castle you can literally re-charge your batteries!

Langley Castle is striving to drive down emissions and allow owners to travel across the county, and beyond, with the electric power provided by its new charging points.

We have three charging points onsite which are solely for the use of our guests in order to charge their cars for their onward journeys.

Being part of the EV Charging network is a move that we hope will help boost tourism in the county, as drivers will be able to charge their vehicles enough to get them to the coast and the rest of the county, once they leave Tynedale.

The charging points are only available to patrons of Langley Castle.
