Fishing

Northumberland is renowned for its fishing and one of the best spots to get a catch is Langley Dam, which has grown to become one of the most popular fly fishing venues in the north east of England. The 14 acre fishery offers variety from the boat or bank fishing, particularly if you take set of waders with you. The peaty water runs from the Northumbrian moorland and reaches a maximum depth of 10 feet. Rainbow Trout and Blue Trout fish are stocked regularly from 2lb upwards. The fly fishing lodge is adjacent to the car park has tea and coffee making facilities plus tackle to buy or hire and a fine selection of North Country fishing flies. With only four boats booking is a must particularly at weekends, for a great day fly fishing in beautiful surroundings.
